"aka. Agaricus brunescens Peck, Cream Button Mushroom, Champignon, Portobello, Cremini, Crimini mushroom"
1 spore syringe contains several millions of spores,
soluted in 10 ml of sterile water.
The button mushroom is the most common edible mushroom. Button mushrooms have been brown / cream coloured originally. The white colour was the result of genetic mutation, white button mushrooms are albinos. The cream variety has an more distinctive taste compared with the white variety.
Habitat and distribution in nature:
Button mushrooms are distributed all around the temperate zone on the northern hemisphere. In Europe more than 40 wild-growing species of button mushrooms are known. As manure habitant mushrooms, you can found them on cow pastures or compost piles between May and November.
Growing conditions:
Spawn run: 23 - 25 °C
Primordia formation: 16 – 18 ° C, RH (air humidity) 95 - 100 %
Fruiting: 16 – 21 ° C, RH (air humidity) 85 - 90 %
Convenient substrate:
Horse manure compost and casing soil
(First inoculate the compost with grain spawn; after the compost has been fully colonised add casing soil.)
We recommend following procedure: Germination of spores on agar medium and / or rye grain substrate. The ready colonized rye grain is suitable to inoculate fruiting substrate.

Stored in a cool (max. 20 °C) and dark place, packed in airproof bags (zip-lock bags), spore syringes are germinable for at least 1 year from delivery. We reommend to store spore syringes not colder then 5 degrees celsius or 41 degrees fahrenheit.
We produce our spore syringes from our tested, high quality made spore prints, under sterile conditions in our laboratory. All our spore syringes are produced continuously fresh.
