The artist conk is one of the widest distributed plypore mushroom on planet earth! The fruitbodies are mostly big and grow for several years.

Hardwood, conifers (douglasia)
We recommend the inoculation of woodlogs.

Ganoderma applanatum can be found in all deciduous and mixed woodlands rarely in coniferous woodlands. The fruiting bodies of this mushroom grow for several years, therfor it is not very suitable for indoor cultivation. The artists conk can get very old (40 - 50 years), the fruiting bodies get a diameter of up to 90 cm and will be up to 20 cm thick. The artist conk will be a eye catcher in ervy garden over years. You can use the dried fruiting bodies for woody folwer arrangements.

This culture was cultivated from spores by our mycological team and refined via natural selection. We declare explicit that you may use this cultures only for inoculation of substrates. Copiing and reselling is expressly prohibited!
