This culture was cultivated from spores by our mycological team and refined via natural selection. We declare explicit that you may use this cultures only for inoculation of substrates. Copiing and reselling is expressly prohibited!
Each mushroom culture consists of purified mushroom mycelium on especially composed agar medium. To protect the cultures from contamination and approve fresh air exchange we use special designed dissue culture flasks. In the following instructions you can lern how to grow your own mushrooms out of this culture.
Improtant infomation: Please open culure flask only under sterile conditions! (Glove Bag or HEPA filter).

As in every part of mushroom cultivation it is relevant for the success that you work clean, sterile and fast. Spring clean and desinfect your hands and the workspace bevor starting the work. We recommend the usage of latex gloves, hairnet and facemask as the working in front of a HEPA filter or inside a glovebox.
To get the scalpell clean hold it into the flame of an alcohol lamp till the forefornt glows. Let it cool down to room temperature then insert an new (sterile) blade.
CAUTION: LATEX GLOVES AND DESINFECT ARE HIGH INFLAMMABLE. BURN HAZARD
We recommend to use a long an thin scalpell holder (i.e. Scalpell No. 7) to reach the mushroom mycelium through the smal bottleneck. or each petri dish a 3x5 mm piece of the culture will be enough. Exice the culture with the scalpell carefly on the agar medium and seal the petri disch immediatly wiht parafilm. We recommend to put the mycelium gorwing side of culture down on agar medium (as you can see on the pictures).
We recommend to make a few petris from each culture. Even under controlled laboratory athomsphere a failure of 10 % will be normal. Donīt dismiss if you have failures of 25 % or more when you start to work with cultures on agar medium. For beginners this is normal manly if you donīt work in a sterile laboratory.
Usually the petri disches are marked with date, species and maybe add an idendification number. (waterproof pens, "edding pens" or CD-marker are suitable to write on a petri dish.) To start the mycelium growing, store the petri disches at the spwan-run temperatur.
